URBN
Food and Beverage Marketing Intern (June 2018-August 2018)
Girls' Night In
Audience Engagement Intern (Feb 2018- May 2018)
CAVA
Marketing Intern (2015-2016)
Brand and Innovation Intern (2016-2018)
Transitioning to a Campus Brand Ambassador position for Spring 2018. |
That "So What" Moment:
Through this internship I've learned how to create original content and repurpose old content for sharing. I've mastered brand voice through weekly blog posts and working with the in-house copy writer to stay trendy and relateable, but also on brand. I'm on top of social media, paid search, and SEO innovations and get #pumped to check Social Media Today to see what's new and trending. I evaluate brands on social media from a marketing perspective, instead of just for aesthetic. CAVA has taught me to appreciate the DC Food scene and take risks in the kitchen. I've learned to improvise, substitute, and, most importantly, ask for help. Now I can cut an onion, drizzle pomegranate molasses like Salt Bae, and provide quick, thorough deliverables. Explore my work with CAVA through the buttons below. I'll always be crazy (feta) about this experience. |
The Next Classic
Blogger (2016- present)
Personal Blog detailing school spirit, social media, and the Gen Z perspective.
-Updated weekly -Averages around 56 viewers daily (fluctuations due to month & frequency of posts) -Over 9,000 unique visitors since September 2016 |
That "So What?" Moment:
By managing and creating my own content, I've learned to value a content calendar, brainstorm and develop ideas, and produce for an audience. While small, TNC is mighty with Baby Boomers, Gen X &Y, and Millennials alike. Can you say "damn, she's mastered writing for a diverse audience," or what? |
Marriott International
Digital Acquisition Intern in Corporate ECommerce (Summer 2017)
|
That "So What" Moment:
Through my time at Marriott, I learned the language of SEO and started to implement strategies to improve specific brand performance. I can identify search rankers, crawl sites using tools like Screaming Frog and the Moz Toolbar, and perform keyword analyses using Brightedge. I've brought these skills to other internship positions and introduced them to my own blog. I am dedicated to staying on top of SEO updates so I can optimize to the fullest. Camp Louise
Social Media Specialist (Summer 2016)
|
That "So What" Moment:
This was my first time controlling the rolling-out of content, as well as producing. I learned to create a content calendar through Google Docs and plan campaigns to make gathering the necessary pieces easier. I also gained exposure to the Adobe Suite, DSLR photography, iMovie video editing, and uploading videos to Vimeo. |
Spoon UMD
Social Media Contributor (2016-2017)
|
That "So What' Moment:
Working with Spoon, I learned that I love content, but creation rather than posting. We also didn't use a content calendar, and that made growing the brand really difficult. |
